One of our BCCG colleagues, Anthony Chapman, will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 28th April, dressed as Nessa the Nurse. Nessa is the official mascot of WellChild, the national sick children charity. Standing at 11ft tall, 3ft wide and weighing 23kg she is one of the largest and heaviest costumes in the race.
This month he has launched the "Memory Miles" initiative whereby people who donate a minimum of £10 can have their name or the name of a friend/loved one added to his running vest. Donations can be made through his fundraising page but prefix the message with "Memory Mile" and the individual's name.
An opportunity to go for a run as a group with Nessa is planned for late March/early April.
