It’s easy to forget that winter is just around the corner, but please don’t let the unseasonably warm weather lull you into a false sense of security. Now that the clocks have gone back the nights are drawing in rapidly and, as most of the avenue is unlit, motorists are requested to take extra care with regard to non-motoring road users. Please remember that pedestrians, cyclists, dogs, etc. can be easily dazzled by approaching vehicles using main beam. Also, they may not be easily visible to drivers, particularly in wet or foggy weather, so please drive carefully, safely and within the 20mph speed limit at all times. Please do not overtake or tailgate.
